FIELD NOTES

The relationship between art and nature is a huge part of what we do. Whether it's field recording, nature photography, land-art, sound-walks, site-specificity, or any other facet of the art/nature spectrum, 7000 TREES is fundamentally dedicated to unpicking that complex dynamic.

We have organised numerous community projects designed to allow people to better engage with their environment, encouraging the use of technologies - new and old - to help us understand and interact with our world in a considerate and creative fashion.

Working with both children and adults, we are constantly looking for new locations and communities to explore, and view the fostering of such creative engagement to be the primary purpose of all the art that we produce.
